Today I was talking with my dad and about all the ways we want to reach our customers. (Have you seen our new PDF catalog in the right hand column?) But ultimately in the end the one tripping point that came up was. "What if nobody talks back?"
Now in no way do I want people to think I'm harping or badgering them. But we have many social media avenues open and as I always say we are listening.
When I used to work in over the counter retail I could size-up a customer in a second as they approached the register. Usually with 90% accuracy as to if they were happy, gonna put the cell phone down and acknowledge my presence or if they needed something. But now as mostly an internet business I can't see the people I'm selling to. I would like to ask people to not only comment on here, but to also friend us on Facebook.
Tell us what you might be looking for in future releases. Talk to us about the workbench and prototypes we are working on. All we ask is do it in a productive manner. Cause "that looks stupid", really isn't all the helpful.
When we went to Rock Con 2 weeks ago it was incredible the input people gave us there. We were just offering the Modular Office building for the first time but had no takers. So then we started to ask why. Well as it seems it kind of looked like a parking garage instead of an office building.
So after my friends and workers talked me down from jumping off the convention center. We went back to the drawing board and came up with the design you see now.
It has been getting us some great feedback and compliments. And all because a few people told us what they thought.
Some companies just want to make what they want, and that is 100% fine. We on the other hand want your input and want your constructive criticism. Hopefully in the near future we can get some sort of forum up and running but for now we have TGN, Facebook (which is free for us to have a store page on) and our blog here with it's comments section.
So hopefully we will hear from you. We want to get to know you.
